Gastronomic Bistro

Amí Bistro is a contemporary gastronomic bistro in the heart of Breda. A place without pretension, yet full of elegance, where refined cuisine and genuine hospitality come together.
Behind Amí are us: Malou Hagenaars and Jasper Verhagen. Not only co-owners, but also life partners. Together, we share a passion for gastronomy and hospitality that is reflected in everything we do. Alongside our dedicated team, we have created a place where every guest feels welcome and where exceptional food, atmosphere and personal service go hand in hand.
Since opening our doors in July 2024, Amí has become a favourite destination for food lovers in Breda.

About Amí

The Breda bistro has two floors, a romantic courtyard garden and a cosy bar. The open kitchen allows interaction with the kitchen team. From Wednesday to Sunday, you are welcome for an à la carte lunch, dinner or cocktails. Reservations are not required, but are recommended if you want to be sure of a spot.

Culinary ambitions

Together, Malou Hagenaars and Jasper Verhagen lead Amí Bistro. As partners, they share a passion for gastronomy, hospitality and quality. Jasper is currently pursuing his education through The Court of Master Sommeliers and is constantly seeking out the finest and most exceptional wines. His greatest passion is introducing guests to remarkable wines in an approachable, relaxed way, without ever making wine feel intimidating. Together with their dedicated team, they create a warm welcome, refined cuisine and a wine experience perfectly tailored to every menu.

In 2025, Amí was included in the Michelin Guide and made an appearance in the Lekker 500. A recognition of the care, dedication and ambition with which people work here every day.
